Hi BC,

*Live Presentation
Wednesday May 20, 2015
2:00 pm ET*

*SPEAKER:*
*Dr. Thomas I. Madura*
NASA Postdoctoral
Program Fellow
NASA's Goddard
Space Flight Center

3D printing has the potential to considerably improve the astronomical
community's ability to visualize, understand, interpret, and communicate
important scientific results.

In this Webinar, you will learn how recent 3D printing efforts have:

• Helped NASA understand complex astrophysical systems
• Created the first 3D printed, detailed replica of a nebula
• Produced 3D prints from simulations of colliding stellar winds

This work demonstrates the potential of using 3D printing for astronomy
outreach and education. Perhaps more importantly, 3D printing makes it
possible to bring the wonders of astronomy to new audiences, including
the blind and visually impaired.
