I believe John is duplicitous & complicit in misrepresenting facts to the listeners & members. That has been my position since my first article in the AVA, " KZYX Inside Out, Ominous Rumblings & Lightning Strikes" which got me kicked off Hanson's new staff.
It is a serious issue that John C . has refused to break down the salaries of staff. He has chosen to ignore a court decision and in doing so, might just get a reprimand if the Board discontinues shielding him. This is easily researched-the Calif. Privacy Act --January 2011.
Otherwise, despite what Coate & Aigner maintain, I think non compliance with the law & discrimination of the general public from the Non Cash Alternative policy in the Board's policy manual is something the FCC might consider worthy of a second look.

I also think John S. is right to distance himself from the present Board as there is no Board Liability Insurance (sure to come up at Monday's meeting) and they are responsible for letting John C. run away with the reins.

Let's not stoop to character assassination just because we come from different sides of the table, Tim. You are a good programmer and everyone respects how hard you have worked to do benefit concerts for KZYX, especially John C. You make his job a lot easier since he no longer thinks it is energy efficient to do fundraisers, a position, I think, that fosters more disconnection in the community.

Look, if the station admits to making mistakes, and makes an effort to correct them, then the big heavies will most likely fade away. Instead, they dig themselves in even deeper by denying there's a problem or legitimate issues that need a transparent discussion. By the way, the concept of discussion is not even in the Board's lexicon.
Sheila Dawn

Patricia Kovner <pkovner@yahoo.com> wrote:

As someone who was listening intently to the incident you describe, I can tell you that John announced the 'problem' after we had supposedly concluded a successful fund drive and met our goals. I have no more time to waste on you, John. It's become clear even

has nothing to do with improving the radio station. Bye-bye.
Tim, how about answering my question in an earlier regarding a
single line item for salaries and benefits? One line. With one
number. It seems as if that single budget item item has been
deliberately obfuscated in both our audits and IRS returns. This
could be an IRS issue if the intent was to deceive or conceal.
