Subject: A kakistical ochlocracy.

Marco here. Here's the recording of Friday night's (9pm PST, 2026-03-06)
eight-hour-long Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio show on KNYO.org, on
107.7fm KNYO-LP Fort Bragg (CA) and also, for the first three hours, on
89.3fm KAKX Mendocino, ready for you to re-enjoy in whole or in part:

Coming shows can feature your own story or dream or poem or essay or
kvetch or announcement. Just email it to me. Or send me a link to your
writing project and I'll take it from there and read it on the air.
That's all I'm here for.

Besides all that, at https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com you'll find a
fresh batch of dozens of links to not-necessarily radio-useful but
worthwhile items I set aside for you while gathering the show together,
such as:

Some of the saxophone family you haven't met yet. Includes a /leather
slide/ saxophone, and a Hulk one that should come with a bellows or a
gas-powered air pump to operate, there's one small enough for a parrot
to play, and one that looks like an opium hookah. In related news, the
U.S. military provides decent lives for bands of soldiers who perform
music at events and travel around making themselves available to
demonstrate items like these, which is far preferable to shooting and
strafing and bombing, and kicking down doors to kidnap people away to
torture prisons, and I have no objection, none. They could take all the
money they were about to spend on another nuclear missile submarine and
instead make a saxophone too big to fit in a blimp hangar and only ever
use it once, and it would be better for everybody.

Rerun: Boom Boom Ba. The accepted spelling, though they're really
saying, "Ah-boom ba" or "Kaboom ba." It just occurred to me to look up
the lyrics. It's nothing at all like what I imagined, and I still don't
know what it's about. It's a song where that doesn't matter. It comes on
and you're happy. Also all along I was certain she was asking, "Make a
moniful law, if I may?", whatever that means, when it really was, "Mé
kouman mé fora y bamê," whatever /that/ means. Art Bell is dead, we
can't ask him.

Rerun: The end credits of Boxtrolls, where we see the animator at work.
My favorite scene in The Boxtrolls is early on, where the girl has
finally met the boy whose existence she suspected, and she will not shut
up; she's giving away their hiding place by her excitement, and the boy
reflexively, non-maliciously nips her hand, the way a similarly
overwhelmed pet might. Unhurt but flummoxed, she exclaims, "You /bit/
me... With your /mouth/."
