This was my 1440th all-night written-word show since early 1997 and I 
feel pretty good about it. 1440 is exactly the number of minutes in a 
day. If I had done all those shows monthly instead of weekly it would be 
the year 2117 AD now and I would be broadcasting from the bell jar that 
preserves my disembodied head. Your nose and ears keep growing as long 
as you're alive, so imagine that.
