Subject: Memo of the Air: Talk-Like-A-Pirate Day special, all night tonight!
Hi! Marco here. Deadline to email your writing for tonight's (Friday
night's) MOTA show is around 7pm. After that, send it whenever it's
ready and I'll read it on the radio /next/ week. (It doesn't have to be
about pirates.)
Half an hour into the show there'll be the San Francisco Mime Troupe's
end-cap episode of their summer radio show series. That runs until 10pm.
Otherwise, you know what to expect-- except there's a lot more poetry
tonight than usual. I guess people have been feeling especially poetic
about the world, because of reasons.
Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio is every Friday, 9pm to 5am on 107.7fm
KNYO-LP Fort Bragg as well as anywhere else via
http://airtime.knyo.org:8040/128
(That's the regular link to listen to KNYO in real time.)
Any day or night you can go to https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com and
hear last week's MOTA show. By Saturday night the recording of tonight's
show will also be there.
Furthermore, also at https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com there's a
mysterious box --bigger on the inside than the outside-- of educational
hors d'oeuvres* to nibble on until showtime, and between shows-- items
such as:
Part of what's wrong is, if that's the thumb on this side (I'm not sure
it is), the hand is on backward /or is it?/ (via Fark)

Names for then-new colors: “Pimps, still in the prime of life and
stomachs on the grass, drinking absinthe." "Funeral March, composed for
the obsequies of a great deaf man." Etc.

This actually fits ancient descriptions of what an angel looks like
better than any art you've ever seen that's supposed to be an angel. A
thousand eyes made of feathers.

And Haley Reinhart's latest.

*I know hors d'oeuvres means appetizers, but I wanted to know what it
means literally, so I searched /translate hors d'oeuvres literally/ and
got /literally hors d'oeuvres/. What it really means is "out of work".
True fact.
