Subject: Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio live from Franklin Street all
Friday night!

Hi. Marco here. Deadline to email your writing for tonight's (Friday
night's) MOTA show is around 6pm. After that, send it whenever it's
ready, up to, say, 7pm Friday next week, and I'll take care of it then.
There's always another time. There's no pressure.

I'll be in KNYO's Fort Bragg studio tonight again (325 N. Franklin). The
phone works great there. If you want to call and read your work in your
own voice, the number is (707) 962-3022. And we can have people in the
studio now, properly socially distanced, of course, so if you come to
play your portable musical instrument, there'll be a mic for you two
meters away from me. And there are masks, in case you forget yours, and
plenty of soapy ethanol to disrupt the biological ecosystem of your
hands with. Not to mention a sink with real water and soap. And a cute
little professional hospital-paper chef's-hat condom for the microphone.
Plus I'm fully vaccinated now, which I just discovered is fun to
announce with a Bronx cheer into my mask.

(The latest Max the Piano Player news is, he can't come tonight either.
He's fine, it's just, something came up.)

Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio is every Friday, 9pm to 5am on 107.7fm
KNYO-LP Fort Bragg as well as anywhere else via
http://airtime.knyo.org:8040/128
(That's the regular link to listen to KNYO in real time.)

Any day or night you can go to https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com and
hear last week's MOTA show. By Saturday night the recording of tonight's
show will also be there, in the latest post.

As if that weren't enough, also at https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com
you will find the usual quirky assortment of educational novelties to
occupy your attention until showtime, not to mention between shows--
items such as:

Two videos. "Gender reveal goes wrong when confetti cannon fires into
father's crotch." (And) "Yeah, ya just can't put a price on the look on
your child's face when they see a black person for the first time." (The
history, though brief, is narrated agonizingly slowly. Turn the speed up
to 2X and it becomes much better.)

"Men love pterodactyls." (She's right about that. I made a huge
pterodactyl skeleton once out of plywood and hung it in the old library
that burned down in 1987, I think. Men loved it, while it lasted. Sylvia
Kozak Budd, R.I.P., also thought it was pretty cool, which was
gratifying. (via NagOnTheLake)

And: perfect. A rare example of the world going the way it should, and
of a vehicle that, for storytelling purposes, because of the shitheads
who use it to harass people minding their own business, should actually
just catch on fire like that. And it, and they now, are already in the
water so, as I said: perfect.
