night tonight!

Hi. Marco here. Deadline to email your writing for tonight's (Friday 
night's) MOTA show is around 6pm. After that, send it whenever it's 
ready, and I'll read it on the radio /next/ week. Or call me at KNYO 
tonight and read your work in your own voice. The number is 962-3022. Or 
come in-- it's 325 N. Franklin, next to the Tip-Top bar. Everyone's 
vaccinated, including you, and our mics are two meters apart, and if you 
forget your mask you can have one of our old ones and put it on 
inside-out so the clean side shows. Just kidding; there's a fresh bag of 
them, clean through-and-through. I depend on watching people's mouth to 
understand what they're saying anymore, so the masks make it a fun game 
for me.

Half an hour into the show, meaning 9:30pm, for the next I don't know 
even how many weeks, I'll play /this/ summer's San Francisco Mime Troupe 
radio play series: /Persistence/. Tonight: Episode Six! (It's a game 
show spoof.) And, in response to my call for songs titled with the name 
of a person, pet or person's-name place, where their name is prominently 
used in the first line or repeated enough to make it obvious, a dozen 
people wrote with a total of over a hundred suggestions. I've collected 
enough to use them for breaks for at least /two/ shows, so that's what 
to expect for break music for the next little while.

Oasis Darryl Hasten died, painter (both kinds of painter) John Darcy 
died, musician and local-musician promoter Dainis Krusa died...
