Subject: MOTA: Good Night Radio all night tonight!

Next week I'll be playing you the recording of the second installment
(part 2 of 6) in San Francisco Mime Troupe's summer radio show project
/Tales of the Resistance/. In a nutshell, about that show, from Marissa
Ellison of the Mime Troupe: "Can Nurse Susie find a way to deliver vital
antiviral medicine, navigating hospital bureaucracy while fending off
the corrupt Capitalist Healthcare Conspiracy?" ...I'd like to play it
tonight (Friday), but they say to hold off. If you can't wait till next
Friday, you can hear it this coming Wednesday on Jamie Roberts'
Radiogram show on KZYX.

Tonight, though, I /will/ be playing a brand-new radio show production
of Mendocino Theater Company, called /Trifles/, by Susan Glaspell, and
directed for radio by Lorrie Lepaule. That'll be around 9:30pm.

Deadline to email your writing for tonight's (Friday night's) MOTA show
is around 7pm. If seven comes and goes and you're not done, send it
whenever it's ready and I'll read it on next week's show, because I
don't get email while I'm napping before the show nor do I use email
during the show, and that explains why there's a deadline.

Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio is every Friday, 9pm to 5am on 107.7fm
KNYO-LP Fort Bragg, and 105.1fm KMEC-LP Ukiah*. Also there and anywhere
else via http://knyo.org and click on Listen Live. And any time of any
day or night you can go to https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com and hear
last week's show and shows before that. By Saturday night the recording
of tonight's MOTA will also be there, in the latest post, right on top.

*Sorry, but not KMEC tonight, again. Just only on KNYO, the Little Lion
in Fort Bragg. Available info on the KMEC saga as of press time: their
website's down, their web stream is off, their phone line is dead, and
the only people who've replied to my scattershot texts, phone calls and
emails are people who have no idea what's going on or are clamming up
about it. If you know, or know somebody who does, let me know so I can
tell the story and get everyone on the same page through the magic of
communication. What I know so far: zip. Except for: the MEC's current
with rent to Supervisor McCowen and $500 in arrears on payment to
Pacific Internet. KMEC fits in a closet in the Mendocino Environmental
Center and costs less than a piffling five dollars a day to operate, but
/somebody in the hierarchy has to make sure that gets paid/. Who is that
person? I'd like to know.

Anyway, at https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com there is a pillowcase full
of brain candy for you, such as:

A zen monk acapella beatboxer in loop mode.
https://laughingsquid.com/beatboxing-japanese-zen-buddhist-monk/

A rare and beautiful /unrestored/ but like-new 109-year-old motorcycle.
The gallery shows different angles and closeups, and some other fabulous
old bikes, including a nearly equally rare majestic Flying Merkel, which
has the best name of all.
https://newatlas.com/motorcycles/pierce-arrow-unrestored-1911-motorcycle-auction-record/

And how to make a cute teddy bear out of a little towel, a ribbon and
three rubber bands. Juanita saw this, squealed /I'm doing that!/ ran for
a towel and did it, and you can too. This will be valuable knowledge in
the soon-to-come post apocalyptic wasteland, when you have to coax a
terrified surviving child out of a hole in a tree. Any woman in your
wandering band who you had your eye on, but who has been on the fence
about you, will see you do this, and you're in. This makes up for when
you had to shoot that dog.
