skinny on the disappointing state of affairs that I'm restraining myself 
from speculating paranoidly upon. As of press time, their website's 
down, their web stream is off, their phone line is dead, and the only 
person even marginally in the loop who makes himself available to talk 
about KMEC is dealing with a personal emergency of his own this 
afternoon, and he texts that he'll call me when his hands are free. So 
I'm ready.

Oh, and 9:30pm, tonight, half an hour into MOTA, begins first in a 
series of half-hour weekly (or bi-weekly) summer radio comedy-dramas 
from the San Francisco Mime Troupe. It's /Tales From the Resistance/,

If you've always wanted to watch a bunch of big fat white men strangle a 
little black boy to death in the facility where they put him when his 
mother died of cancer, while maybe a dozen other orphan children 
continue to eat their lunch and watch his murder along with you, now's 
your chance... What did this incident escalate from, you ask? It's like 
this: from so much unfairness of things (dead mother, etc., see above), 
the little boy threw a sandwich at another little boy, missed, and then 
was insufficiently remorseful nor respectful when his keepers told him 
to pick that up.
