Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio tonight!

Tonight, Friday Feb. 21, I'm reading the show by live remote from
Juanita's apartment, /not/ from the back room of the KNYO performance
space at 325 N. Franklin, next door to the Tip Top bar, so consider
showing-and-telling in person at KNYO /next/ week, Friday February 28,
because that's when I'll be there.

But next week (Feb. 28) the show will begin with a brand-new live
old-fashioned radio drama put on by Kylie Felicich's Community Center of
Mendocino theater group of kids, and I don't even know the title of the
show or anything about it yet, except that it might be in Italian. I
know it'll be shorter than the last one they did, so why don't /you/
come in and be in the quiet but appreciative studio audience for their
show and stick around after to recite your poetry or show off your
accordion chops? Your line here: /Yes. Why not. I'll show them. I'll
show them all./

Anyway, deadline to email your writing for tonight's show is about 7pm.
If that comes too soon for you, send it whenever it's ready and I'll
read it on next week's show, in Fort Bragg, after the kids' radio drama.

Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio is every Friday, 9pm to 5am on 107.7fm
KNYO-LP Fort Bragg, and 105.1fm KMEC-LP Ukiah. Also there and anywhere
else via http://knyo.org and click on Listen.

And at any time of any day or night you can go to
https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com and hear last week's show and shows
before that. By Saturday night the recording of tonight's MOTA will also
be there, in the latest post, right on top.

Also as usual you'll find plenty of leftover titillating mental
nutrients at the weblog to keep your fingers busy till showtime, such as:

Elemental mercury is twice as dense as iron, so a solid iron anvil
floats twice as high out of the mercury as an anvil made of wood would
float in water, but it still looks weird, and the guy's pretty cavalier
with his buckets of enough mercury to poison the entire western United
States, and maybe someone should do something about that.

Some more about the latest way of making movies, where the special
effects happen at the same time as they're shooting.

Hydraulic press channel's top 100.

And I see this as a perfect peaceful zen Tom Waits character recharging
between gigs, dreaming up his next brilliant poetic sandpaper vocal-fry
electric bullhorn gargle.
