MOTA: Good Night Radio tonight, all Chet Baker night.
Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio, 9pm to 5am tonight (Friday, Feb. 14)
on 107.7fm KNYO Fort Bragg (and 105.1fm KMEC Ukiah, and via KNYO.org),
live from KNYO's shop at 325 N. Franklin, next door to the Tip Top bar.
Come on in and recite your favorite sexy Valentine poetry or anything
else, just save the swears till after 10pm, so not to agitate the
weasels, and to avoid being a yutz, whatever that means. Remember, Iron
Man said, "When somebody does you a solid, don't be a yutz." Good advice.
Deadline to /email/ your writing to be read on the air tonight is 6pm or
so. If you're not done by then, send it whenever and I'll get it when I
get home from the radio station tomorrow morning and then read it on the
air next week. Or phone tonight and read your work in your own voice:
962-3022.
That out of the way, here are a few classic-to-late-model simple
educational amusements to foof around with until showtime:
You think Joe Biden isn't a senile lunatic? Here he is on video talking
to a bunch of kids at a public pool about how tough he was before the
hair on his legs turned gray, back when kids /just like you little
guys/, he says, liked to come up and rub his hairy legs and watch the
hair move around, I think it was back in the '50s, when he had to face
down a gangster with a length of rusty gate chain because he had called
him Esther Williams instead of Corn Pop, the gangster's real name, and
an opportunity for apology ensued. So the whole thing is pool-themed,
because Esther Williams, kids. You don't know who Esther Williams is?
What kind of stupid dog-faced pony soldiers are they raising /up/ around
here? Um.

"Tell me honestly. Did you really climb that mountain to get that holy
sword? I don't want you to judge me anymore. You have to accept my meth
addiction. Thank you, Bobbert. Things are going well, aren't they. You
know why I'm mad." It's a play-through video of a new kind of game
that's really a very old game, going back to courtly love of the Middle
Ages.

And a youth bird sounds competition.
