Subject: MOTA: Good Night Radio all night tonight!

Deadline to email your writing for tonight's (Friday night's) MOTA show
is around 7pm. After that, send it whenever it's ready, up to 7pm Friday
next week, and I'll read it then. And so on.

Half an hour in, at 9:30, it's the latest installment of San Francisco
Mime Troupe's summer radio-drama series. Somewhat after that, a couple
of chapters more of Jay Frankston's book /El Sereno/. And I'm pretty
sure I'll be able to read Kim Stanley Robinson's story /The Lucky
Strike/, about an alternate world where there was a single fateful crew
change for the plane headed off to drop the first atomic bomb on a city
full of people, and things went a little differently.

Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio is every Friday, 9pm to 5am on 107.7fm
KNYO-LP Fort Bragg. Also there and anywhere else via http://knyo.org and
click on Listen Live. And any time of any day or night you can go to
https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com and hear last week's show and shows
before that. By Saturday night the recording of tonight's MOTA will also
be there, in the latest post, right on top.

Also, at https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com there's a dockside warehouse
full of fertilizer to occupy yourself till showtime, such as:

Thank you for your interest, but we are no longer accepting detonations.

Elephants. They're majestic.

p.s. About the latest Announce listserv foofaraw, my recommendation: if
you consistently don't like things written by one or two or three
people, get off the Digest, get on the individual email list, and make a
filter in your email program to send everything by the people who stick
in your craw automatically into the trash before you even see it. And
you're done. But doing it the way so many people are doing it-- sending
email after email to the entire list to bitch about those one-to-three
people is oblivious petulant hypocritical whining. You're doing exactly
what it drives you crazy that they're doing, sending something other
than a weather report or notice of pickles for sale to the Announce
listserv. Which is fine, if that's how you like to be seen-- as an old
woman angrily shaking her broom at her ice-cream-truck-driver son's
rival company's ice-cream truck. Oh, actually, that's kind of cute.
Carry on.

If you don't know how to make a filter and add people to the list as
they piss you off, do a Google search for /How do I make a filter in
[name of email program] to send emails to the trash?/ Simple
instructions will appear at the top. It's just like a cooking recipe.
It's as easy as microwaving a cup of water for tea and takes even less time.
