Welcome to retail.

/"It was true prison working under that suicidal Steffie and Ed."/

The recording of last night's (2019-09-06) Labor Day Weekend Memo of the
Air: Good Night Radio show on KNYO-LP Fort Bragg and KMEC-LP Ukiah is
available by one or two clicks, depending on whether you want to listen to
it now or download it and keep it for later and, speaking of which, it's
right here:

Besides all that, at http://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com you can find a fresh
batch of dozens of links to not necessarily radio-useful but nonetheless
worthwhile educational items I set aside for you while gathering the show
together. Such as:

Your amulet.

This toy train set gets more fantastic every year. What would be even more
impressive to me: if it /never existed at all but was entirely an ongoing
serial CGI parody of such an impossible project then one day years later a
bunch of people got together and brought it to real life and nobody
believed them./ It's still very cool. It doesn't take anything away from it
that I'd like it better if it was more layers of real-not-real. In
thousands of years when the aliens come in response to our radio noise and
I Love Lucy episodes, and we've long-since wiped ourselves out for whatever
reason and by whatever means, and they dig down and find this thing and
clean it up and think we were all three-quarters-of-an-inch tall, and then
argue about it because one of them found an arm bone somewhere else and
/how do you explain this, then?/, that's layery enough.

Just a great design for a car. This one is thirty million dollars (!), but
any car company could stamp out this shape and stick it on a modern chassis
(or on an old VW) and they would sell like bagels at Bagel King. Ironic,
because back in the day it was called /Hitler's Porsche/.

And further interesting old aeroplanes. (25 min.)
