Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio tonight!

Tonight, Friday, October 11, from 9pm to 5am I'm reading Memo of the Air
by live remote from Juanita's apartment, /not/ from the back room of the
KNYO performance space at 325 N. Franklin, next door to the Tip Top bar,
so consider showing-and-telling in person at KNYO /next/ week, Friday
the 18th, when I'll be there for you. You might meet Max the Piano
Player, or Al Nunez or, you know, anybody.

Deadline to get your writing on tonight's show is about 7pm. If that
comes and goes, email it whenever you're ready and I'll read it on next
week's show.

Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio: Every Friday, 9pm to 5am on 107.7fm
KNYO-LP Fort Bragg, and 105.1fm KMEC-LP Ukiah. Also there and anywhere
else via http://knyo.org and click on Listen.

And you can always go to https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com and hear
last week's show, and shows before that, and play all sorts of games and
learn about this and that at your own speed. By Saturday night, the
recording of tonight's MOTA will also be there, in the latest post,
right on top.

Also there as usual are freshly fascinating educational wonders to
sharpen your claws on while you wait for tonight, such as:

Miyazaki's airships.

Why we will lose:

Eat it. This is the vaudeville version of One Meatball, but without even
fifteen cents for a meatball. Just napkins.

And an article about an attractive new stainless steel rocket meant for
Mars. It reminds me of the little shaved-ice maker they had in the dark
liquor bar of my grandparents' Italian restaurant when I was little. I
was allowed to play with it, because the on-switch was the top being
pushed closed, so safe for fingers. Not like the meat grinder, nor the
industrial dough mixer, nor the ironing mangle which began to turn by
pushing a lever with your knee, leaving both arms free to be grabbed,
flattened and yanked out of their sockets, should you desire, which of
course I didn't. But I was never allowed inside any refrigerator or
oven, nor the flour cellar, nor to look at the sun after they found out
I was doing that, and that's probably wise.
