Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio tonight!

Tonight, Friday, November 8, from 9pm to 5am I'm reading Memo of the Air
by live remote from Juanita's apartment, /not/ from the back room of the
KNYO performance space at 325 N. Franklin, next door to the Tip Top bar,
so consider showing-and-telling in person at KNYO /next/ week, Friday
the 15th, when I'll be there for you, just like the /Friends/ theme
song, just like an easy chair. Which reminds me, coming up: /Armistice
Day, Armistice Day/, (Monday) on which, at the purple sailor
hour-and-minute, the guns of the war to end all wars, the war so
horrible that war could never again be considered an option by anyone
with a brain in his head, because everyone saw that the men responsible,
who benefited from the mess, who in palaces hundreds of miles away from
the suffering and choking and bleeding out and dying, sat in perfumed
luxury eating steak and sipping champagne and making googly eyes across
the table, finally stopped, and how great it is all /that/ is over and
we've finally grown up as a species, not to be taken advantage of and
ruined in exactly that way in present and future. A hundred years of
lovely peace and advancement. Imagine, if we hadn't learned that
important lesson. Tch.

Deadline to get your writing on tonight's show is about 7pm. If that
comes too soon for you, send it whenever it's ready and I'll read it on
next weeks' show.

In addition to lots of pertinent music, bits of everything interesting
I've been reading all week, science/tech/doom/delight newsish items and
evocative examples of fine writing by bona fide pros, there are multiple
locally generated gems of con-tent including poetry by Craig Stehr, the
beginning of a series of stories by children in Jay Frankston's classes
over the years, not to mention poetry and prose and prose-poetry by Jay,
romance by Paul Modic, computer generated word art, and more. A bang-up
show. I'll try not to screw it up by missing my nap and being all cranky
like last week.

Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio: Every Friday, 9pm to 5am on 107.7fm
KNYO-LP Fort Bragg, and 105.1fm KMEC-LP Ukiah. Also there and anywhere
else via http://knyo.org and click on Listen.

And you can always go to https://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com and hear
last week's (cranky) show, and shows before that. By Saturday night, the
recording of tonight's MOTA will also be there, in the latest post,
right on top.

Also as usual there are tons of leftover educational wonders there at
the weblog to poke at and examine while you wait for tonight, such as:
