/"You're currently making your future self cringe, and if not then your
future self has less of a clue than you do. Oh, look, here's your future
self, moving in and taking over the place and kicking you to the curb.
Pow. Now your past self, sheesh, what a schmuck that guy was. Good
riddance."/
The recording of last night's (2019-07-26) Memo of the Air: Good Night
Radio show on KNYO-LP Fort Bragg and KMEC-LP Ukiah is available by one
or two clicks, depending on whether you want to listen to it now or
download it and keep it for later and, speaking of which, it's right here:

Max the Piano Player had other business and so rescheduled till Nagasaki
Day (two shows away), but Andrew Scully came to read his stories about
the moon landing and the young skater who died in a hit-and-run this
week at the intersection of Hwy 1 and Little Lake Road. Kay Rudin
brought her big fluffy black dog, who immediately busied himself chewing
up the metal typing table. Really, I’m not kidding. Mitch Clogg and Elly
Cooney dropped by after the Quentin Tarantino movie to read a story and
discuss cancer and look up the Herkimer Battle Jitney on downtown Fort
Bragg’s free wi-fi. Alex Bosworth called, revealed some previously
unrevealed information about the after-death of one of his former
sweeties, the one who took over his email and website and ruined his
business out of spite for his repeatedly having saved her miserable
life. I said, "What was the attraction? In the first place?" Alex said,
"I thought I could help her." And in between and around all of that
there are a few dozens of thousands of words of poetry and stories, such
as Scott Peterson's thrilling /Serve-UR-Self/, and some compelling
music, including hot blues by Carie and the Soulshakers (performing
tonight, right now, at Caspar Community Center) and a weird shrieky
opera about whales.
Besides, at http://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com you can find a fresh batch
of dozens of links to not necessarily radio-useful but nonetheless
worthwhile educational items I set aside for you while gathering the
show together. Such as:
Before and after at Yosemite. Not bad at all.

Randy Rainbow’s catchy latest: Suckers For You.

And a new flavor of Star Trek. Seven of Nine is brought back. I was
watching the trailer, and when she spoke and the camera turned to her
face I chirped happily and then laughed at the sound I had made. Actress
Jeri Ryan has had an interesting real life. She was married to a
candidate for senator for a short while, but he dragged her to sex clubs
where he expected her to do sex things while everybody watched, because
I guess to him the second or third most beautiful woman ever was chopped
liver.
