Norman,
I guess its up to the community to inform our news dep't on what we would like reports on. When I was a reporter, people used to approach me to ask if I could attend meetings that were of interest to them. Please call the news Dep't, as will I, to request info on those meetings. It is a problem when you don't have community reporters as in the way the past News Dep't was structured. Diminished staff (3 people) & an insufficiently trained BOD also add to the mix. No info on the station business. I listened to KMUD a few days ago and they had a full hour on the hiring process for a new GM. Guess we will have to wait for Malcolm"s report in the AVA for the hospital update.
Also, did you know the BOD is now meeting 2x a month? Next meeting in Willits, Jan 23rd. Let's advocate for an on air summary of Board business since the new Board took over. Or you can glean the past meeting minutes for info---but why has the burden to be informed been shifted onto the listeners & members? It is a Board responsibility.

Is this really “community radio”……Just ask: “What’s in
the news?”
Last night the new board of the Mendocino Coast District
Hospital considered the dismissal of the Exec. Director and
today Ted Williams is in Court opposing Mendocino Redwood
Company’s law suit against the Albion-Little River Fire Department.
There’s new management at the Kelley House, Art Center
and Senior Center - but nothing on KZYX.
Where is the local news?
