Seeking a ridge-runner car for my neighbor; oh, and also announcing 
/Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio on KNYO and KMEC tonight!/

Marco here. My quiet and artistic neighbor in Albion, who has no phone 
at home nor email, has saved almost $1,000 to get a car to replace his 
finally dead beyond repair old truck. Car doesn't have to be shiny and 
perfect, just reliable and legal, to drive down to the store in. If you 
want to give away or sell something like that, email me a little info 
about it and your phone number; I'll print it all out on a piece of 
paper and give it to him when I get back there Sunday night, and he'll 
look it over and contact you. Thanks.

IN OTHER NEWS: Tonight, 9pm to 5am, I'm doing MOTA by live remote from 
Juanita's apartment, /not/ from the back room of the KNYO performance 
space at 325 N. Franklin, next door to the Tip Top bar, so make plans to 
show-and-tell there /next/ week (First Friday, June 1). Or get custom 
airtime for a show or series of shows entirely of your own-- contact Bob 
Young: bobb at poetworld.net and he'll get you on the schedule tout de 
suite (say: toot sweet). Not at all like that multimillion-tax-dollar 
smily-face Nice People private club they run over at KZYX where you have 
to wait literally fricking decades and then you're an undesirable 
troublemaker because you finally got fed up about being treated like a 
bug and said something about it and made them feel guilty, when they're 
the sort who react badly to guilt, hence the smiley false-face and 
genial stoned-sounding saccharine happy-talk all the time, and the 
choreographed predetermined so-called public meetings.

But Memo of the Air: I have a positively /lurid/ show for tonight. Vast 
fluorescent otherworldly oceans of titillating and disturbing 
information. Word count: just short of 41,000 (not counting /Chandu the 
Magician/) and I haven't even filled in the community announcements yet. 
I'm about to do that.

Right now you still have plenty of time to email your writing to be read 
on MOTA. (Deadline is always around five or six p.m. the night of the 
show, and I'm at Juanita's so tonight it's even later because I don't 
have to drive anywhere. I'm already sitting at the typing table where 
I'll be reading the show.)

Just paste your poem or essay or kvetch or conspiracy theory or 
harrowing MeToo story into the body text of an email, check that it's 
going to me and not also to the whole group, unless that's what you 
want, and press send. Even if you're reading this after about 6:30pm, 
it's never too late; send it anyway and I promise to read it on a future 
show. Or come in and read it yourself next week, see above.
