[Kzyxtalk] Media Inquiry -- Quid-pro-quo Cyberstalking

Dear Mr. Steffen,


As I said a few days ago, I'm writing a news article that touches on possible quid-pro-quo cyberstalking at KZYX. Particularly by KZYX programmer Tim Gregory, the host of 'Cardboard Prison Radio.'


This reporter notices that neither you nor KZYX management have denied this possibility. Nor have you condemned quid-pro-quo cyberstalking. Or even cyberstalking. I also noticed that you posted messages on the KZYXtalk chat room in April of 2016, and again in August of 2016. Which indicates that you saw the offensive language posted by Mr. Gregory in June of that year.


If I contacted KZYX underwriters -- as I certainly intend to -- how do you think they'll feel about KZYX programmers using language like 'asshole', 'tool', 'dog pack' and 'head case' to characterize unhappy listeners on the Internet?

In the past, Mr. Gregory has made comments at the KZYXtalk chat room using language like 'asshole,' 'tool' and 'dog pack' to characterize unhappy KZYX listeners and members. Neither Mr. Gregory nor Executive Director Jeffrey Parker have denied this conduct, nor that it's been made as a quid-pro-quo arrangement for Mr. Gregory to host his weekly radio show. Particularly, in light of the absence of underwriters for Mr. Gregory's show.


I'll be reaching out to other KZYX underwriters over the next few days to get their comments on this issue. In the mean time, I'd like to get yours. Would it be possible to contact you by phone this week for a fifteen minute interview?

Dear Mr. Gregory & Mr. Parker,


I was wondering if it'd be possible to schedule a ten-to-fifteen minute telephone
interview with each of you on the subject of (1) off-the-air conduct for KZYX
programmers, and (2) quid-pro-quo arrangements between KZYX/MCPB management and
programmers who make ad hominem attacks on the KZYXtalk chat room.


If so, please provide me with three or four availabilities over the next week for
that interview. I'm particularly interested in your views of the appropriateness of
using language like 'asshole' toward and 'dog pack' toward listeners/members. You're
welcome to do that by addressing a private email to me, along with a phone number
where I can reach you.


In the event that I don't hear back from you over the next week, I'll report that
you wouldn't respond to invitations for comment.
