[Kzyxtalk] Fw: Media Inquiry -- Quid-pro-quo Cyberstalking

Dear Ms. Hartley,

Okay, I'm really irritated now. I asked you for comment on a news article. You answered with a question. Which isn't really a comment. It's a question. Just running out the clock.

You're not available for a telephone interview this week. Fine. So you offered a face-to-face interview at a board meeting that's yet to be scheduled. Where you may -- or may not -- be on the board. I'm trying to cover you as a candidate for that position. But that won't be possible at the next board meeting.

If you aren't aware of my reporting in the Anderson Valley Advertiser and Mendocino TV, that's fine too. But it speaks volumes of your local media literacy. Also, I sense that you're playing games here. Something I feel that Mr. Sakowicz isn't doing.

If you can't deny my four summarized points, I'll run with them.

Sincerely,

Scott M. Peterson

Mendocino

Could you come to the next board meeting in Anderson Valley? I would like to talk to you more, but I think a face to face meeting would be the most productive.

My point was: did you ask the program director about this and do you have any evidence of misconduct?

Also, which media outlet do you write for? I would like to read your articles.

Cheers

Hi Jenness,

Thanks for the invitation, but unfortunately I don't have the time or budget for a round trip to Ukiah.

I'm sorry for missing your point. Of the four points I summarized, which are wrong?

As far as answering questions, I can't help you. I'm a reporter.

Mr. Sakowicz had a question about your last email. Asking, what was your point?

Sincerely,

Scott M. Peterson

Mendocino

LOL I think you missed my point!

Let's meet in person!! Ukiah? Want to visit my preschool? When can you visit?

Also, did you find out any answers to my questions? I do want to know the answers if there is evidence of misconduct!

Cheers

Hi Jenness,

Just so I understand you correctly.

1. You see this as an 'imbroglio' that you needn't be involved with.

2. As MCPB trustee, possible quid-pro-quo cyberstalking by MCPB programming personnel isn't your concern.

3. It's up to the authorities.

4. You're not available for a telephone interview.

If anything here is incorrect, please advise. I'll be copying Mr. Sakowicz on your email to see if he has any comment. Thanks very much for your time.

Sincerely,

Scott M. Peterson

Mendocino

Hi Scott,

I want to answer your question, but I am not involved in this imbroglio, so I do not want to misspeak.

Questions for you:
1. Have you talked to the program director about this?
2. Do you have any information of a quid pro quo situation?
3. When did this programmer begin his show on the station, was it before or after Jeff was hired as GM?
4. Have these comments been directed at you? If so, please follow up with the authorities. I am just the daughter of a lawyer, choosing the more harmonious career of a teacher/farmer. I don't want to give out legal advise.

Again, in regards to this subject, I am not the person to ask since I have no involvement in programming matters. That is up to the program director.

Cheers......also, no comment on my cute dog?

It would be greatly appreciated if ask my permission if you choose to publish any of our communication. I do not want to misspeak on behalf of the station.

Hi Jenness,

My understanding of cyberstalking is that it's not exclusive to threats, but includes defamation:

Is that your understanding?

On your response that citizens have a constitutional right to be annoying, does that include making potentially defamatory statements about others on the Internet? I notice that you had no comment about a KZYX programmer using language like 'asshole,' 'tool' and 'dog pack' on the Internet as quid-pro-quo for KZYX air time. But we can take that up on the telephone.

Could you please give me your phone number and three or four calendar availabilities this week for an interview?

Sincerely,

Scott M. Peterson

Mendocino

Happily!! As private citizens we have a constitutional right to be annoying. If there are threats being made of a serious nature, I urge you to contact law enforcement.

I am attaching a cute dog picture:

Dear Ms. Hartley,

I'm writing a news article that touches on possible quid-pro-quo cyberstalking at KZYX. In particular, about KZYX programmer Tim Gregory, the host of 'Cardboard Prison Radio.'

In the past, Mr. Gregory has made comments at the KZYXtalk chat room using language like 'asshole,' 'tool' and 'dog pack' to characterize unhappy KZYX listeners and members. Neither Mr. Gregory nor Executive Director Jeffrey Parker have denied this conduct, nor that it's been made as a quid-pro-quo arrangement for Mr. Gregory to host his weekly radio show. Particularly, in light of the absence of underwriters for Mr. Gregory's show.

I'll be reaching out to other KZYX candidates over the next few days to get their comments on this issue. In the mean time, I'd like to get yours. Would it be possible to contact you by phone this week for a fifteen minute interview?

Sincerely,

Scott M. Peterson
