Well, Mary Pat Palmer, you're getting some name recognition as 
someone who's clueless (and wealthy) enough to work for free for a 
regime of schmucks who are paying themselves quite well from the public 
trough while refusing to pay the real workers and mismanaging a radio 
station into the ground despite a six-figure bailout every year from 
Uncle Sugar that alone could pay all KZYX' expenses twice over without 
any need for week-long beg drives, which is a hell of a trick on their part. 

And you say that you wouldn't champion me. Who asked you to? 
Nevertheless, if you were in trouble or being persecuted I would help 
you without a moment's hesitation. I would let you in and lift you up, 
give you the tools and get out of the way. And you could slap my 
black-skinned hand away in disgust, and I'd say sorry and let you fall, 
if that's what you wanted.
