It is my understanding that KZYX has tried to get our of the lease 
on State Street, Ukiah, but have been unable. My contacts tell me 
the space is not used. 

Ukiah is not the source of all news; I’m wondering when we’re going 
to hear about the founding of the fishing vessel SAN JUAN alongside 
Thanksgiving Coffee’s fish house at Noyo.

Vacuum of funding... I have recently heard there may be a local FCC licence for auction... maybe KMUD can buy it out, consolidat e three studios, extra leased office space etc, and run the Philo station with a reasonable balance... . good luck!! December 2016 


Come by and visit our studio in Philo and examine the plush factor. LOL Pretty funky and bare bones. Seriously, board members and GM are donating to make this effort work in Ukiah. We should be making the money to operate it easily, as it's not a high expense at all. Our GM Lorraine Dechter spent $2400 over the last six months paying for the rental that the news department uses currently in Ukiah. Not reimbursed. Paid for it out of her own pocket so it would be there for the reporters to use. As our former News Director, she know what is needed to keep up the quality and quantity of local news. Not sure why you are upset about the KZYX budget. It sounds like you should make an appointment with Lorraine. July 2016
