[Kzyxtalk] Mike Geniella in the DAs office

Regarding Geniella and his role in the DA's office. I had a little on line run in with Mike Geniella in a discussion about Bruce Anderson and the AVA. Geniella said that Mike Sweeney and others were just like Bruce Anderson, you can't believe any of them. That pissed me off, so I sent him a quote from Sweeney's pamphlet "Liar Unlimited” which reveals some of the many hoaxes and nasty yellow journalism that Anderson has been involved in over the years, including accusing Sweeney of murdering Judi Bari. Liar Unlimited has many such cases but only two of them went to court. One of them, a 1999 court case, proves conclusively that Anderson deliberately lied and slandered Phil Tymon, the former manager of KZYX. (See http://www.liarunlimited.com). So I said that I could not except that somehow Sweeney was equally guilty of something. Of what? And then Geniella says well go read some other guy’s pamphlet about Sweeney. No, I said, YOU ARE MAKING THE ACCUSATION so it’s up to you to explain how Sweeney has done anything like the lying and slander that Anderson is PROVEN to have done. And Mike Geniella dropped out of the conversation.

So given my experience, I do not trust that Geniella’s influence at the DA’s office is heathy for the rest of us. By the way, I still defend the AVA because it remains the only place to hear in depth what’s going on around the county. And as far as KZYX is concerned, I give the AVA credit for hiring Sheila Dawn Tracy, at a pathetically low stipend, to write her enormously useful and truthful reports on KZYX board meetings.
