This interests me as a paying member and as a radioperson, and as a
taxpayer who provided a small portion of the $4,000,000 in bailout
grants KZYX has frittered away since 1989. I oppose --or rather offer a
simpler, better alternative to-- a great deal of everything the
secretive, insular board and so-called management of MCPB (KZYX) has
ever done and said, going back to the beginning, and they still refuse
to schedule my show there.

And, look: the quintessentially Nixonian Stuart Campbell, on the
board again despite the membership not being allowed to vote either for
or against him, has been appointed (by Meg Courtney) chairman of the
programming committee, chairman of MCPB's corporate bylaws committee,
and grand treasurer of MCPB. So he now controls the station's rules,
finances, and programming.

You might remember: Stuart Campbell is the same man who asserted
for years that KZYX was a perfect democracy, even though management
ruled by fiat, because the membership voted for the boardmembers (after
hearing them talk for ten minutes each), who hired the manager, and so
that meant the members really controlled the /philosophy/ of the
station, and that should be enough for yez, so shut up. That Stuart
Campbell.
