[Kzyxtalk] Letter to the MCPB (KZYX) board of directors. Reply requested.

I don't have the technical or inside knowledge to support many of the things that Marco said .. 

but happy to chime in on the ones I know about .. 

financial presentations are meaningless without a treasurer to present them .. equally so

for treasurers who can't get any such information .. KZYX's treasurer pulled a no-show for 

the second board meeting in a row .. that speaks volumes of KZYX's financial position .. 

on the subject of Uncle Sugar .. CPB is supposed to distribute taxpayer dollars to public radio 

stations that comply with Federal Regulations .. i.e.; are transparent .. KZYX is opaque .. look 

at the Form 990s .. for five years running, they've been hidden .. not by accident, but by policy .. 

written in plain English .. right on the Form 990s .. so KZYX has become a poster child for right 

wing fanatics like Paul Ryan who are just -- dying -- for a reason to cut CPB's funding .. and KZYX 

has now given it to him .. 

KZYX's meeting minutes are atrocious .. they'e obviously slanted to downplay public criticism .. 

without one mention of KZYX policy .. unless members of the public bring it up .. who are then 

vilified for doing so .. not only that, Madame Chair .. you didn't think to adopt the minutes from 

the previous meeting, did you? .. 

outgoing board member Bob Page complained about name-calling .. when in the six years he 

served on the board, KZYX lost seventy-five percent of its net assets .. and when the suspect 

audits showed up on the KZYX website overnight, who was the treasurer? .. Bob Page .. 

John Sakowicz couldn't get -- any -- financial information after Bob Page left that position .. 

Derek Hoyle nailed it by calling the past six years 'a train wreck' .. presenting Bob Page with a gold 

watch for his 'service' tells you how clueless KZYX is .. 

I don't make predictions .. but look at the trends .. KZYX will be insolvent by the end of the 

year ..
