[Kzyxtalk] Phuck Eff-Emm -- Phuck Philo

I have to say, the facts are very clear. The station has been losing $3k a month on average for the last ten years. The cause for this, in my educated opinion, is that a small group of NPR fanatics took control over the programming and forced those who did not share their belief in a "NPR worldview" out. After 7 years of observing the bleeding, some of us spoke out. Some going as far as going to the FCC to try and wrestle control of the station back from these few, with the goal of giving it back to the community.

Those who spoke out suffered the loss of their programs and a series of personal attacks, having our reputations smeared. I personally have been called a "hater", a "crazy", and accused of being a liar by those who refused to discuss actual policy, or even read the stations policies, or study the stations finances. If some of us have gotten frustrated in our vain attempts to awaken the station establishment, we have every right.

Should the station continue on its ten year journey into oblivion, it has three to four months left before complete insolvency.

As we bear witness to this final stage, I hope all those who have mindlessly "defended" the station against those who could have saved it learn something from this experience so it does not happen again, and again, and again...
