In all of our exchanges -- which I enjoy immensely -- I've notice a certain delay.

Between my comment and your response. So I'm just wondering. Are you

getting -- shudder -- approval for your responses?

It's one thing to be forced to attend a listserv under a pseudonym. And quite 

another to ask permission to respond. Are you a surrogate? If so, please tell

us who -- or what -- you report to. If not, please explain the delay.
