I understand; I feel exactly the same way about calling someone else's
show. I just-- unlike everyone else in the world, I'm /most/ who I am when
I'm on the air, conducting my own show. It's an aid to concentration and a
revealer of my true feelings, and I think that if you were to call me on
the air we'd have a gentle, interesting two-way conversation about forty
things, including KZYX. But you don't want to, and that's okay. Anyway,
there's all the time in the world for you to change your mind. There'll
always be another show.

I'm in the middle of helping make a play go at the theater company and
also getting tomorrow night's radio show ready, and I have the usual
day-job things happening, but as soon as I have a few minutes I'll sketch
out a little of my point of view about KZYX, and you can make whatever use
of it that you think might help.

Thank you for responding. That's a good start.

p.s. Download and listen to one of my shows, or just skip around in it. I
think you'll see why it belongs on KZYX. Speaking of which, I still haven't
heard back from the program director about my proposal to schedule my show
on KZYX, not even a "Got your email, thinking about it, thanks." This is
typical, and that's my first point. There doesn't need to be a program
director. You're paying Lorraine $5,000 a month to be there anyway; she's
shown that she can answer the phone and email and watch the computer lights
blink and walk and chew gum at the same time. Why not take the money for a
program director and pay it to the airpeople? If it's $40,000 a year,
that's the equvalent of 800 $50 yearly memberships. That's about half the
members you have. Shouldn't that money go to the people actually doing what
the radio station is there to do in the first place?
