$85 grand, Beth? Really! The station must be in debt. A deep hole.

Subject: [Kzyxtalk] So far NO OPEN LINE shows on MEASUREs V, W or U on KZYX/Z

Hey folks: KZYX/Z is promoting a silent fund drive. They want another
$85,000,
Thus far, they have scheduled NO OPEN LINE opportunities for listener
discussion of Measures V, W, or U.
This is an especial delinquency regarding Measure W, the County Charter
Initiative, the opportunities of which are least understood.

I contacted Loraine Dechter weeks ago urging the importance of such
moderated OPEN LINE programing re this election.
She left me with the impression that such programing was in the making.
Just spoke with her and she said she did not know whether or not Sherry (or
whomever) had scheduled any OPEN LINE shows for the Three Ballot Measures
And let me know by the tone of her voice that she didn't care.
I know it is late, but many Mendocino County voters still have the
opportunity to vote on Election Day.
If you feel OPEN LINE DISCUSSION of the 3 ballot measures is an important
task of a COMMUNITY RADIO STATION, please call the station and let them
know that. 895-2324. And if you can't get through to the office number call
the PLEDGE LINE to let them know you feel discussion about Measures that
will so impact the lives of coast folks are more important that the
constant promotion of the Music Festival KZYX has chosen instead.
Please. --beth bosk
