tg-the board policy only mandates community advise--not decide--programming. past
management [and boards] jealously [if not wisely] drew the line on 'community'
decision making.

programmers...we all rather rudely lost our shows when we spoke up against
Coate-Aigner and their self-dealing, cronyism, and dominance of station politics,
finances, and programming...Tim Bray is part of the problem. He should "term out"'.
tg--this blowhard is still playing the wounded innocent...there hasn't been a worthy
cause he hasn't lept in front of, to lead 'us' despite his wounds...to many,
especially j sakowicz, vengence is a virtue.
elsewhere derek h wrote: 'I believe there most certainly is cronyism at KZYX , and
it's NOT the whistle blowers like John Sakowicz...if anyone speaks out against the
KZYX lockstep hive mind, then they are accused of being associated with John
Sakowicz (as if it's some kind of evil thing), but these are all shallow canards
used to marginalize, and demean, anyone who dares ask important questions, or speaks
critically about KZYX, staff, management, or finances. What's really sad here, is
that most folks can't be bothered to see that their Community radio station has been
co-opted by those who have been slowly strangling it, and closing it to the wider
voice of the Community, and instead, are vilifying those who are the whistle
blowers.
With the multiple KZYX members coming forward to point out the serious problems
with KZYX and the MCPB Board, how can anyone honestly believe that all of these
independent whistle blowers are wrong, crazy, hateful, etc., apparently some folks
have lost their ability for critical thinking.'
tg--derek, my friend, has a blind spot. because geographic cronyism has hurt the
station, he doesn't see the slippery slide of 'siding' with ALL other critics,
trusting their 'leadership', defending their attempted sabotage. derek [and doug,
for that matter] can't see his own 'cronyism' even as it unfolds...and just as marco
blows off the offer of a one-on-one with boardmember j middlebrook, there will
always be this irreconcilable fringe.
derek is perhaps our hardest working dj/engineer volunteer, and while he has EARNED
the right to be impatient with mcpb, i dread him stroking out for the wrong
reasons...
