Dear Mr. Gregory,
I agree with your call for 'simply enforced boundaries' on this
discussion group. But where should they be located? And who
should make that decision? Facts seem to annoy you, Mr. Gregory.
Are they over the line? If so, then what's inside?
You seem inclined toward offensive language. Using the word
'a**hole' against those you disagree with here. Is that inside?
Let's talk about the Willits studio, Mr. Gregory. And your
underwriters. What's the rent and upkeep there? What does your
radio show pull in? 'Memo of the Air' pays for itself. What does
'Cardboard Prison Radio' do? Look at your burn rate, Mr. Gregory.
According to Mr. Coate, it's $73 an hour:
http://www.kzyx.org/images/pdf/mtg_minutes/KZYX%20Board%20meeting%20minutes%207-09.pdf
Your show runs for two hours a week, Mr. Gregory. That's $146 a
week. $7,592 a year. How long have you been doing that? The
KZYX website says your show has been around since August of 2012:
http://www.kzyx.org/index.php/music/rock-rab-groove-alt-indie/cardboard-prison-radio/blogger/listings/cpr
So that's $30,368 that 'Cardboard Prison Radio' has cost KZYX, Mr.
Gregory. So far. What has it given back?
On to your current music director. Who is that, Mr. Gregory? It
was Raoul van Hall for the blink of an eye. Then it was Alice
Wolfle-Erskine. Supposedly a 'coordinator' at Anderson Valley
Junior High School. But her email there doesn't work anymore.
What do you suppose happened, Mr. Gregory? Have you seen her
lately? You're 'the warden', dude. What's going on?
Marco McClean demonstrates creativity and curiosity with his
show. Brilliantly. Like clockwork. What do you demonstrate
with yours? Aside from a guest named 'Zebra'?
You think it's okay to publish demands on Norman to operate
inside your boundaries. But you don't identify them. In the
same breath you dismiss Mr. McClean's publication as a
'screed'. After he identified his boundaries. Without the
use of accusatory language.
Like the old saying goes. Birds of a feather stick together.
Mr. van Hall's parting comments resonate here. Remember?
It was the 'nastiness' and 'cronyism' that drove him off.
Those aren't my words. They're his. And one or two birds
weren't responsible. It was the whole flock. Led by who,
Mr. Gregory? And what kind of boundaries?
Your last post was 201 words long, Mr. Gregory. I counted.
Not one of them about where the boundaries should be. Or
why. Only that you should be the decider. Okay. That
entitles us to know more about you, Mr. Gregory. Norman
served in public office here. Elected and reelected.
Have you been elected here? Or anywhere? If so, please
tell us. But if not, what gives you the right to decide?
Sincerely,
Scott M. Peterson

smp has topped himself: slandering this 'tim gregory' with the rapsheet of another,
trashing my show, guests, and as usual kzyx's new staff...
what's creepier though is the viciousness of his every post. 'kneepads'?
'piggy-backing' on another lamentable marco screed [public demand for a slot on
kzyx] smp again proves the failure of this list, as yet still unmoderated...
[i used to feel sorry for sako's compulsive need for attention, but now i just
cringe for the embarassment his family must feel for his periodic excess.]
haters will always be lurking--bitterness can linger for generations. what
discussion lists need is simply enforced boundaries--time-outs and if necessary
permanent blocking. even the 'moderators' here seem to be hanging back from
discussion. moderators must choose between being liked and being effective--how's it
going so far, norman?
i expect to appreciate kzyx even after the ax falls on my show. i have nothing to
prove here, nor do i feel need to explain, much less justify, station policy here. i
will not join in 'throwing out the baby with the bathwater'. gen x, millenials--who
knows what 'policies' will guide us next? get involved. the sky has yet to fall.
