[Kzyxtalk] Opinions vs. Facts

Dear Ms. Winslow,

In keeping with Norman's suggestion, I'll try to avoid any 

tit-for-tat here. But that should apply to everyone.

Your reference to 'opinions' is important here. That's been

the tactic of key KZYX individuals for a long time. As a way

to dismiss others. Not over opinions. But facts.

I think that Doug McKenty mentioned it. As a passive

aggressive strategy. And a way to put someone down. Which

gets a negative reaction. And the subject is then blamed 

for overreacting. Over anything they say or do.

I'm not perfect, Ms. Winslow. But most of what I've brought

here is fact. Some people appreciate it. Some don't.

Many of those who don't have one thing in common. They're

KZYX programmers. Who threw their fellow programmers under

the bus. By treating them the same way. Let me summarize

ten of the facts that I've introduced here:


1. FACT: Former Manager John Coate implemented a policy to

hide Form 990s from MCPB for five years running.

2. FACT: Those Form 990s showed that MCPB hadn't prepared

audited financial statements for that time period.

3. FACT: MCPB gave the Corporation for Public Broadcasting

documents that appear to be audited financial statements to

receive over a million dollars in grant funding. 

4. FACT: The CPB has a strict non-compliance policy that

prohibits much of what MCPB/KZYX has been doing.

5: FACT: MCPB/KZYX has exhausted 97% of its net assets

since John Coate was hired.

6: FACT: John Coate admitted to being declared unfit for

military service by a U.S. Army psychiatrist during the

Vietnam War.

7. FACT: The only way for that to have happened is for

John Coate to have suffered from psychosis.

8. FACT: John Coate has claimed on his resume that he

reduced 93% of KZYX's debt, when he actually incurred

97% of it.

9. FACT: All of these facts have been brought to MCPB/

KZYX's Board of Directors' attention. Along with proof.

But they dismiss it as opinion. And laud Mr. Coate.

10. FACT: At MCPB/KZYX's current 'burn rate' and net 

assets, MCPB/KZYX will be bankrupt in less than four 

months.


All of this is based on public information. Garnered

from official sources. Filed under penalty of perjury.

Or else admitted. By John Coate. Anybody could have 

found it. It's the same for posting it here. Anybody 

could have done that too. But they didn't. So I did.

This thread started with a compliment. From someone

named Bernie. Who appreciated what I'd done. One of the

embittered programmers posted a demeaning message. So

I responded. Then there was a reaction to my response.

So I responded again. Both of these people were women.

Neither brought any facts. Only opinions. I responded

with facts. None of which have been disputed.

If my ignorance is demonstrated -- as you say -- then

surely you can show us all where. By unravelling just

one of my facts. Right here. Right now. Not as opinion.

But as fact. Feel free to go back through all of my

posts. Surely you can find _some_ inaccuracy.

Otherwise, the tirade is yours.
