Mary,
We have an interesting rule in the Court Appointed Speciate Advocate
program where sworn advocates of the Juvenile Superior Court cannot
be members of the Board of Directors. If we ever get a membership
meeting we might discuss whether board members should also be
host/producers concurrently.

Just today, I was listening to Patrick Owen's classical music program where he was playing a solemn Mass. In the middle of the Mass, the station went silent.....dead air.....then, Cal Winslow came on to promo a show of his....then, silence.....dead air.....then the Mass began again. I will be called a "hater" because I have shared this information in this note to you.

From what some programmers have told me, they receive little to no help from the Program Director. The Program Director is solely responsible for what actually goes out on the air waves. Period. Dead air, noise, foul language, miscued music, Mr. Winslow in the middle of a Mass, et al.

Attend Board meetings and make your voices heard through other media outlets by writing letters. No name calling. Just say you want better; you want transparency; you want quality programmers and programming. Write to Stuart Campbell, Board Chair, when you hear poor programming, dead silence, noise, or profanity outside the safe harbor time period.
