Eric, Stuart doesn't want the MCPB (KZYX) members, much less the
public, communicating amongst ourselves without being under his control.
He certainly have never, and will never, let it happen on the air. He
claims the reason he doesn't release the members' email addresses is
that he's prohibited by law to do so! Which is ridiculous, but even if
that were true, it would be a matter of ten minutes of fiddling with the
web page to provide a members/public forum that would serve the same end
and expose no members who wish not to participate. Stuart wrote to me,
"We are not going to do that." Well, dang, why, Stuart?

I'll tell you why: The ongoing KZYX regime has only ever been all
about secrecy and uptight control. And of course anyone who notices it
is banished and banned and/or otherwise excluded, at best marginalized
and ignored.

I'm interested to see how the board tapdances around giving up to
the paying members the financial and structural information and records
demanded in the recent letter. I expect a head or two will roll, if not
pop itself off and flee through the sewers like Harry Lyme in The Third Man.

p.s. I had to go get my mother from San Francisco and bring her back to
her house, so I'll be doing my show tomorrow (Friday night, 9pm) from
the station (KNYO, 325 N. Franklin, Fort Bragg) and not by remote from
far away. If you want to come in and talk about your project, or play a
musical instrument, or show and tell something, just walk in and head
for the lighted room at the back. I'll set up a microphone for you.
