Liz.

The only people who believe there is a lack of transparency are those who
wish to create an issue where none exists.

Please note the completely erroneous statement that I responded to: "I just
checked the KZYX website and found no notice of the board meeting anywhere,
not even on the events calendar. I only heard about it from . . . . ."

In this case, and to answer your response, this was a person who knew about
the meeting and theoretically knew how to look for it, and yet declared that
the meeting is "not even on the events calendar".

"Whiff of a lack of transparency." Please. There have been random programmer
reads, required log entries, a rotating announcement in the automation,
posting on the KZYX website, posting on the event calendar, and inclusion on
the community calendar recording.

It's tiring to read the disinformation and misinformation circulated by
some, which is occasionally passed along as fact by others.

Posting board meeting announcements at the very top of the website should be
standard practice. Much less effective if it has to be looked for, which
sorta presupposes the seeker already knows about it.

I think avoiding any whiff of lack of "transparency" at this point in KZ
history would work in the direction of peace.

The KZYX Board Meeting is clearly posted on the Event Calendar, as it has
been for more than a week. And it's flagged as a KZYX event to make it
easier to spot. It's as difficult to find as selecting February 2, or
searching the calendar for "KZYX" and the listing is there.

The KZYX Board Meeting has been announced on the recorded KZYX Event
Calendar.

The KZYX Board Meeting announcement has been read live by programmers per
the program log.

And it's been on the website for at least two weeks clearly marked under the
tab "Station Business" and "Next Board Meeting".

KZYX board meeting, 6pm tonight (Monday night) at the Fort Bragg
Senior Center, 490 North Harold Street, next to Cotton Auditorium. If
I'm wrong about that, please correct it. I have to ask that of you
because I just checked the KZYX website and found no notice of the board
meeting anywhere, not even on the events calendar. I only heard about it
from John Sakowitz.

There's a well-lighted parking lot with plenty of spaces. In the
meeting there'll be an opportunity for you to blurt out a sentence or
two, no more, but you don't have to say anything if you don't want to.
Their board meetings are very few and far between and hardly ever take
place in Fort Bragg, so...
