Jim,

The whole "culling" thing got to me. My father's family was decimated by the Nazis.

A direct bloodline relative, Kazimierz Sakowicz, was a Polish journalist who documented the slaughter -- the culling -- of Jews on an almost daily basis between July 1941 and August, 1944 at a place called the Ponary rail yards in German-occupied Poland, currently Lithuania. Those poor bastards "didn't make the cut", as Mr. Keller so indelicately stated. They were culled because Jews didn't meet Nazi standards for eugenics.

See: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponary_massacre

Kazimierz Sakowicz later put down his pen and picked up a gun. He joined the Polish resistance and fought the Nazis. He was caught during Operation Tempest and executed.

Words like "culling" and expressions like "didn't make the cut" should be stricken from our vocabulary when referring to human beings. I even object to those words being used when talking about animals. It shows a disrespect for life.

Keller's talk scares me. Keller should have been at the railroad platform with Josef Mengele and Rudolf Hoess at Auschwitz-Birkenau "culling" women and children from able-bodied men and other possible slave laborers.

What an absolutely disgusting comparison.

No matter what your impressions of the hiring process — which I have absolutely no knowledge of or involvement in — comparing ANY part of it and any participant in it to the Nazis is incendiary and utterly moronic.

It volumes about you.
