At http://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com you'll find the recording of
last night’s (2015-08-07) KNYO Memo of the Air: Good Night Radio show
ready to download and keep or just play with one click.
It begins with Emperor Hirohito's four-minute radio address to the
Japanese people explaining the decision to surrender and so end the War
After the War To End All Wars. Or so I'm told-- I don't understand
Japanese; it could be anything, like with the girl who paid for a
spiritual serenity tattoo on her skinny white thigh and found out years
later that it really said Tasty Chicken.
That's what I like most about other languages: they sound like
talking and look like writing, but they're really, like our own, just
singing and painting, not at all like an atomic bomb, though that is a
kind of painting, I guess.
It's like in /Firefly/, where the characters are talking along in
English but when they swear passionately they lapse into Chinese or
French or an even more arbitrary science-fiction-swear language. It
demonstrates what's really important: the melodramatic problem they're
singing (and fighting) about.
Anyway, further, at http://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com there are
wholesale quantities of wonderful but not necessarily radio-useful items
that I found while putting my show together. Here are just a few:
Maps (and a graph) of U.S. electricity sources.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/national/power-plants/
CGI discussed.

The pictorial diary of a sex tourist.

And a short film about a vertiginous bicycle ride. At a couple of points
in it you'll cry out and fling your arms around your own head.
