Great queries, Norman.
Coate could easily print out the memberships from as far back as they were stored digitally. But he has too much to lose and he won't.
I suggest the survey be left in stacks at all the local post offices in Mendocino County (as a start). And we should ask people to please not fill out the surveys anonymously, to use their names, in order curb folks from responding more than once.
I feel it is really important to include chronic listeners who never made it to membership status. The main purpose of public radio is not membership. It's service. And membership numbers are still too proportional, too related to income. The Simple Living membership is still too high a donation to scrape up for too many.
This survey is a great way to engage members and non-member listeners alike.

[Kzyxtalk] Seven Questions:

I believe that whatever issues we have with KZYX
they can be resolved within the County. Without
more members and listeners our station will only
limp along never to reach its full potential.

Let's do what station management does not:

Survey those who do or did not
	become or remain paying members.

The Seven Question suggested survey below
is an effort in that direction. Would you like to
do this or something like it? Let's keep the
conversation going:

Seven Questions: Y	N

1.	Do you listen more to KZYX than you did five years ago?	____|____

2.	Would you prefer more live local programming? ____|___

3.	Should KZYX music programming compete with what is	____|___
offered by other local radio stations?

4.	Do you feel KZYX programming represents our changing	____|___
	community?

5.	Would you be opposed to more NPR prepared programming	____|____
	being aired on KZYX?

6.	Would you prefer programming similar to KMUD _____|____

7.	More thoughts? Please add them below and return
to: ndevall at mcn.org by e-mail or US post. (P.O. Bx 3,
Elk, 95432) Comments and answers will be posted on KZYXtalk.
	All names will be withheld.
