"Whether you dwell on everything that's wrong in your life, or on
what's good about it, the interesting thing is: whatever you choose,
you're going to get more of that." --Alan Watts

Of course, also applying to everything else besides persecution
obsession, or germs, or counting steps, this would apply to the web.
Right now I'm gathering together the material for my KNYO radio show
tonight, and I notice that an overwhelming lot of it this week, for me,
is about race --because of things near what I'm reading and search
results skewed in the direction of what Google and the various sites
count that I've clicked on before. So I got more of that. Also a lot of
funny swearing, some in Pidgin, some in what they call Chinglish, some
in Jive, as in, "Pardon me, stewardess? I speak Jive."

I'm interested in race because 1. we're all the same species and so
racists are crazy, and 2. my grandparents on my bio-father's side were
German Jews, my mother's father was Italian and her mother was
Lithuanian, and my wife Juanita's father was a giant jet-black black man
and her mother is a nearly blue-white redheaded Irish Cherokee woman.

There's a limited number of streams available from http://knyo.org
and so I'm letting you know that if you find you can't listen tonight
you can just wait until tomorrow night and go to
http://MemoOfTheAir.wordpress.com to download the whole thing and then
do what you want with it. Rub it on yourself, etcetera; that's your
business.

Of course, if you're in Fort Bragg on any Friday night, including
tonight, you can tune to 107.7fm from 9pm till about 4am and take your
chances. I am assured that the transmitter dropout problems of last week
have been solved.
