Perhaps, when defaming people, jokes are inappropriate.

For the sake of history, and accountability, and Tom Paine, I want to
say that EVERYTHING IS FACTUAL in my original post about the Norm de
Vall rumor (below) EXCEPT for the very last quote which I attributed
to John Coate: He did say "There is not a shred of truth in any of
this" but JOHN COATE DID NOT SAY "It depends on what the meaning of
the word is is." That was a joke. That's what Bill Clinton said
during the Monica Lewinsky investigation. Sorry for any confusion.
The original: Let me clarify the history of this thread: Originally,
there was a "distrubing rumor" that Norm's show and his candidate
interviews had been ended because of his criticism of the station.
Norm immediately wrote to these lists and the AVA, saying that he had
voluntaritly given up his Access show. De Vall confirmed, however,
that it was his interviews and him as interviewer of the candidates,
that has been dismissed and that the program director said that those
who criticise the station will not have a mike. John Coate on
facebook says "there is not a shed of truth in this" and "it depends
on what the meaning of the word is is." --king collins, more
