Thanks Paul, Many are concerned about broadband, the rednecks and hippies and their families, the hermits and hillbillies, people in the hollows, on the wrong side of the mountain, or living in missing the South coast.
Good job, Paul, and I mean that most sincerely.
But I'm voting for Doug McKenty in this election. I have to choose one of the candidates, and I think Doug has a chance to win and will work for, not just financial and technical stability of the station but also for change. And he promises to stay in touch with members, not just "work with the board." And maybe you would do that too, but you are so deeply rooted in the current policies that I can only think that you would support things going on as they are.
A Shadow Board. But you know if I had my way, I would keep both you and Doug and Tom Melcher on the board, or if not on the board, then on a kind of Shadow Board. I guarantee that good workable ideas would come from that. I can guarantee it because of what I have seen on this KZYXtalk listserv. This discussion is about one thousand times more interesting and useful than the board meeting we witnessed on Monday.

P.S. Good luck to all of us tonight at the Candidate's Forum. I hope it is informative and leads to mmore than one winner. Let's enlarge the At Large seat. kc

California has stopped the Golden Bear Broadband project for the North Coast.
Join us for the background on the plan and what we can now do with Jim Moorhead of the Broadband Alliance, and Supervisor Dan Hamburg on the politics of the collapse.
Meanwhile, Sen Noreen Evans has agreed to present a GMO labeling bill in the state senate; we'll hear from her on the chances of passage as well as Michael Foley, of the Little Lake Grange, on the Grange's role in the bill.
All on Mendo Matters, hosted by Paul Lambert, on KZYX at 9 am, Thursday, March 13th.
