You are so right, Toni, the FCC may crack down on bad words at any minute. They probably listen all the time. One more f**k and it's all over for KZYX. 

But more importantly Toni, the discussion on Open Lines was headed in the wrong direction and Doug McKenty was associating with the wrong people. Something had to be done, and fortunately the management knew what to do. 

What a brilliant idea: the seven-second censoring machine! While we wait for it, nobody has to listen to the stupid rabble on Open Lines.

Management has thought a lot about this and they know that it is too dangerous to let people just talk to each other unsupervised. Under such conditions, not just bad words but extreme imagination may slip out. Not often, but sometimes. And when it does our programmers will be ready.

King, you know the FCC prohibits certain language on the air. The delay machine allows the station to avoid a large fine or worse from the FCC. It's not censorship and you do the programmers a disservice by accusing us of censoring anything other than the words prohibited by the FCC. This nonsense of yours certainly isn't going to get you elected to the board. Why not focus on the real issues instead of ridiculous accusations?
