[Kzyxtalk] Conference Call

Dear Norman,
It makes me wonder at your inability to recognize a tyrant when you
confront one. Of what possible purposes will be served by sending
information to a person whose egomaniacal lust for personal control
over his "empire" knows no logic. You will get no support for your
cause from a comfortable bunch of geriatric hippies who just want to
see the trains run on time. Face it, Norman, John Coate keeps the
station in his vest pocket by out-maneuvering any personal threat to
his private vision of what he wants HIS station to be. Just in case
no one remembers, I was his first victim, years ago. Coate cancelled
my appearance on "Takes On The World," shortly after he was hired, in
spite of advanced publicity announcing my on-the-air participation on
that show. A mere two hours before the show's broadcast he called to
tell me my invitation was rescinded for reasons of, as he put it,
"good radio." That he got away with censoring me, without protest,
makes me realize that our lovely little station is his until he brings
it all down upon his own head in a Wagnerian Gotterdamerung.
Meanwhile KZYX is elevator music and this dialogue is a waste of time.
