Sakowicz is not anxious to be further estranged from the rest of his Board with good reason. However, the information that I have published and cited to the FCC is a very serious charge of not complying with a January 2011 court ruling that overturned the Calif. Privacy Act . The finding of the judgement stated that employees salaries must be public information. This is Coate's biggest problem. He thinks no one knows the law but him. I'm sorry but the gig is up.
My source for this is KMUD's General Manager, Jeannette Todd. Call her. She is extremely knowledgeable in this area. 923-2513
We have a crisis of morality in our leadership. Money is good in its rightful place but it is not the only thing that determines the success of a public radio station.
By the way, at the October Board meeting , I handed Sakowicz that exact information with Coate leaning over to read it while I wrote it and he denied this info was true. The entire Board should have this info, and if they don't, why not.
There is a very important Board meeting coming up March 3rd , Senior Center, 6 p.m. Pre election, last meeting cancelled, a hotly contested election-- the first one in years in which we have a substantial choice.
Be there if you care. I am interested in a respectful interchange of information.
