[Kzyxtalk] Does it help or harm?

liz, open or closed fb pages depend on groundrules and admin supervision, which
means more autocratic decision-making from SOMEONE(s)...and therefor potentially
another under-appreciated volunteer job for someone with the spine and the care...

it's not for everybody, but all threads TREND (up&downward), and separate
conversations are easier to follow without email clutter.

i also believe the meanspeak/trolling becomes more obvious and addressable by the
members, if not immediately by the admin.

David G,

Do you really think all the meanspeak gratuitously posted on KZlists & others sets a
good example of public discourse for the kidz? Have you considered that it might be
a mercy if nobody outside the shrinking geezer demographic discovers the deep
discourtesy of their elders?

I am not ready to trade privacy for hipness.

Liz

Like it or not, Facebook has been, and still is the "social media" site of choice
for the younger generation.  If you or your event is not on Facebook, it doesn't
exist.

Tim, don't we all tend to suppose our Pet Thing is the center of the universe? I
feel a little less naked on KZ Talk than on Facebook, in that Facebook has a much,
much wider audience than our little radio-related site, plus visuals.
