Greetings, all,
This week I attended one of Willow’s Measure S conversational workshops in Fort Bragg. I can’t recommend it enough.
We’ve been so busy getting signatures, and now getting out the vote, many of us have not had a chance to review the actual Ordinance in detail. I certainly learned a lot.
Willow is a wordsmith and has spent quite a bit of time putting together this workshop to explore just what the Ordinance means, chapter and verse, and she’s a delightful presenter and kept us all involved in the conversation. Do you know the difference between governance and government, or inalienable or unalienable? You’ll get a chance to know what they really mean at the workshop.
When measure S passes in a few weeks, we should be ahead of everyone else who will be reviewing the Ordinance with a fine-toothed comb. Taking this workshop will be a huge first step.
The next workshops are:
Mendocino Environmental Center, on Standley at State St, Ukiah
Friday October 17th at 6:30pm
Willits Library on Commercial
(not a library-sponsored event)
Saturday October 18th at 1pm
Fort Bragg Library, on Laurel St
(not a library-sponsored event)
Tuesday October 21st at 6pm
Mendocino Environmental Center, on Standley at State St, Ukiah
Thursday October 23rd at 6:30pm
Cheers,
Linda
