Yes, Baile, I believe it is appropriate that we now have some brainstorming related conversations about the next steps for the CRNMC. Personally, I am chewing on four possibilities:

(1) Public Events on Measure S: I like Kelly's ideas of public events educating Mendocino County residents about what Measure S actually does. This could not only acquaint residents with their new political powers as citizens, but it could also talk about how to spot fracking operations, and who to report that fracking activity to if it were to happen here. These events could also generate new volunteers.

(2) Public Events about Community Rights: Paul Cienfuegos has offered, and I think it would be great to get him back, to talk about community rights at more public events, to advance the conversation about taking back power from corporations; these events could bring in new people and further inspire those who are now in the group.

(3) Litigation Contingency Plan: We urgently need to line-up a California (preferably local) attorney who will represent us if we should be sued, someone who will act as a liaison with CELDF, and someone who could help us put together a litigation contingency plan to be used if we were sued.

(4) Mendocino County Implementation Efforts: We could meet with various people in the County government to talk about what Measure S means, who will implement it, who will prosecute offenders, what evidence is needed to undertake a prosecution, what budget is needed to support Measure S, how the new concepts of community rights fit into existing decision-making structures, etc.
