For those curious, the "fracking" to "tracking" error is the result of OCR (optical character recognition) software scanning a .pdf doc in an attempt to make an editable (Word) doc out of it.

It is best to exchange documents that are still being edited as Word docs. Don't go to .pdf until you finalize it. And if you have to go to .pdf, don't encrypt or otherwise make it incapable of cutting and pasting.
