*San Benito Rising *is a grassroots group of volunteers. We are working to
make San Benito County the first "frontline" county in California to ban
fracking & extreme extraction in California. We have some oil and gas
drilling in our county, but we're working hard to stop it from expanding
into the rest of the county.

Our ballot initiative is scheduled for the November 2014 election, so we're
gearing up for a big campaign against the fossil fuel industry. We're
optimistic about winning because we've been canvassing already and have
gotten very encouraging support from the vast majority of residents in our
county.
