[CRNMC] A series of listservs

Hello community rights friends and associates,

Regarding Caitlin's suggestion that we split this listserv into separate listservs, I wanted to expand upon and support that line of discussion. I suggest this listserv remain the general purpose community rights listserv, i.e., that it remain what it has been up until now.

If separate listservs are created for specific projects, or for the work of specific subgroups (like marketing and public relations related to this upcoming ballot measure), then they should be off-shoots of this current listserv. It would be a loss of the current social capital that we have developed, and the interpersonal and computer connections that we have established, if the purposes of this current listserv were to be replaced by a restrictive focus on the current task we have before us (passing the November ballot measure).

There will be many tasks to be accomplished along the path of gaining true community rights in Mendocino County and this ballot measure is just one of those tasks. Based on its name, this is the "community rights network" listserv, not the November ballot measure organizational management listerv. Let's have this current listserv be the networking point, the "grand central station," where it all comes together for the Community Rights Network of Mendocino County.

Respectfully submitted,
/s/ Charles
